Enough of this. I’m going to code now.
Live can be one big pile of annoyances. And so can be coding. Whoops, there I said it! But I really prefer the cold, analytical compiler to tell me how miserable I am above any other thing or being.
Anyone who tried #rustlang (and, to an extend #Typescript) probably knows how painful it can be in the beginning. More errors than lines of code? Happened to me multiple times! But it’s going to get better. After a while you understand the details and avoid the pitfalls automatically. You start to write code in a different way.
And that’s what makes learning a new programming language so valuable. It extends your mindset. And the more the languages differ from what you know the more your mindset expands. Don’t take the easy path. Take the exciting one!
I want to hear about your experiences. Tell me in the comments!
