Are you Matrix yet?

Do you know Matrix? You might have heard of it when France decided to use it for all state institution communication. In May even the German Bundeswehr decided to switch over to Matrix for everything, including secret communication. It’s that good. It even supports fully encrypted group chats.

The best part? It’s fully open source and decentralized. You can have your own matrix server and communicate with people on other servers. And the official client (Element) is really good as well. The UI feels a lot like Slack and other modern instant messaging solutions. It is also available for every platform you can think of (like, maybe not Windows Phone or Sun Sparc, but the ones that are not archaic).

Do you have a Matrix account? What do you think about having a public room to chat? Tell me in the comments!

    1. Wow that's interesting. I thought telegram and its secret chats (when needed) are save enough

      1. @coding_viking Telegrams Secret Chats are probably rather safe. But because Telegram is not Open Source, we may never know 🤷‍♂️
