Back to #Rust!
I started reviving a project from 2017. Back then I attempted to write a Static Site Generator in Rust, just for the fun of it.
Already then I realized that my simple program could create files at roughly twenty five thousand pages per second. And that was on a much older CPU and without much optimization.
So I wondered if I could rewrite it, using newer packages and especially much newer Rust. I plan to make it possible to choose between pre-compiled templates for speed or a handlebars site structure for more freedom. I’ll definitely make benchmarks to compare both.
